It can be easy to get lost when first faced with a cancer diagnosis. You meet a whole slew of doctors, get a lot of tests and scans, and jargon is tossed out without any meaning to you. In addition to trying to keep your life together, you have to explain to family members about your condition and treatments…but don’t even have the first idea of where to start. Once treatments begin, you realize there are side effects and you Google what to do about them with a million different results. This project tries to gather all the resources that you need to begin to understand your cancer diagnosis and what you can expect.
Like a lump of clay on a potter’s wheel, each patient will have their own unique cancer journey. My goal is to remove the excess, shape the journey, and help each patient through their lens. It will be a work in progress, but I hope that it will be helpful to you.
